Cooling Centers Open Across Austin
To help residents beat the heat, Austin’s Library and Parks & Recreation facilities are operating as Cooling Centers during their regular hours. These spaces offer a safe, air-conditioned refuge for anyone needing relief. Service animals are welcome in all City facilities.
Library Hours
- Monday–Thursday: 10 AM – 8 PM
- Friday: 10 AM – 6 PM
- Saturday: 10 AM – 5 PM
- Sunday: 12 PM – 5 PM
Parks & Recreation Centers
- Monday–Friday: 9 AM – 8 PM
- Saturday: 10 AM – 2 PM
- Closed Sundays
