In a world where connection is the new luxury, Women Travel Tribe (WTT) is answering the call—tripling its offerings in 2026 with 50 curated journeys for women over 50. From the sun-drenched villages of Abruzzo to the wild heart of Kenya’s game reserves, these adventures are more than vacations—they’re catalysts for friendship, healing, and rediscovery.

Following a record-breaking year of bookings and a surge in private tour requests, WTT’s community has grown to over 12,000 women strong. Founder Janet Jaffe sees this as more than a business milestone—it’s a movement. “We’ve seen firsthand that women are hungry for more than just a trip,” she says. “They’re seeking sisterhood. Tours sell out quickly, and the message is clear: women over 50 want to feel connected, inspired, and part of something bigger.”

WTT’s 2026 calendar features new destinations like Ireland, Scotland, Kenya, and Croatia, alongside expanded favorites such as Vietnam, the Galapagos, Romania, and Peru. Each itinerary is designed with intention:

  • Small groups of 8–12 women to foster deep connection
  • Cultural immersion with local artisans, chefs, families, and entrepreneurs
  • Locally owned boutique stays that feel like home
  • A safe, welcoming space where women feel seen and supported

The impact is personal and lasting. “Traveling with Women Travel Tribe and experiencing other cultures is amazing,” says Cindy Sorenson, a four-time WTT traveler. “But the best part is meeting other women and making new friendships. I stay in contact, travel with, and visit the women I’ve met.”

Tour leader Luna Rodriguez echoes the sentiment: “On Day 1, women are strangers. By Day 10, they’re laughing like old friends, supporting each other, and planning their next trip together.”

WTT’s growth mirrors a broader shift in travel. According to JourneyWoman’s 2024 report, women aged 55 and up now account for over 40% of female travelers, spending more than $245 billion annually. Many cite life transitions and a desire for deeper connection as their motivation.

Whether it’s savoring handmade pasta in Abruzzo or sharing stories under Kenyan stars, WTT proves that for many women, the most meaningful part of travel isn’t the destination—it’s the people they share it with.
