The Temple Police Department has placed Officer T. “Charlie” Aumua’s patrol vehicle in front of headquarters at 209 E Avenue A as a heartfelt tribute to his service and legacy. The community is invited to stop by and reflect on the countless contributions Officer Aumua made during his time with the department.
A dedicated public servant and respected member of the force, Officer Aumua’s impact reached far beyond the badge. His commitment to safety, compassion for others, and unwavering professionalism earned him admiration from colleagues and citizens alike.
In the wake of this loss, a GoFundMe campaign titled “HERO DOWN” has been established to support Officer Aumua’s family during this difficult time. Contributions will help ease the burden as they navigate the days ahead.
The Aumua family warmly invites the public to attend a funeral service commemorating Officer Aumua’s life and legacy. The service will be held on Friday, August 8, at 10:00 a.m. at Vista Community Church, located at 7051 Stonehollow, Temple, TX 76501. Please note that there will be no escort departing the funeral.
