The scenic yet bustling corridor—shared daily by families, cyclists, commuters, and pedestrians—is becoming increasingly fraught with safety risks due to reckless driving.

From excessive speed and street racing to disruptive noise complaints, APD reports a troubling rise in dangerous behavior that threatens both public safety and neighborhood peace.

“These roads belong to everyone,” APD officials stated. “Safety is not just a responsibility—it’s a shared commitment.”

In response, APD has ramped up targeted enforcement in high-complaint areas of FM 2222. The initiative prioritizes curbing speeding, cracking down on illegal racing, and citing noise violations, with officers focusing on hotspots identified through community feedback.

Partnering with the Texas Department of Public Safety (DPS), the weekend enforcement plan includes:
