There’s something electric about music drifting through a summer evening—and in Temple, it’s become a beloved tradition. The Baylor Scott & White Health Plan Hot Summer Sounds Free Concert Series is back for 2025, promising eight Friday nights of unforgettable performances, community vibes, and pure summer magic.
Through August 1, local parks will transform into open-air stages as musicians from across Texas and beyond bring the sounds of summer to life. Each week offers a different genre and a fresh backdrop—whether it’s classic rock beneath the oaks of Miller Park or soul music echoing across the Lions Park Amphitheater.
The music plays from 7:30 to 9:30 p.m., but the memories start the moment you arrive. Bring a lawn chair or a blanket, pack your favorite picnic spread, and settle in with friends, neighbors, or the whole family. There’s no cost to attend, and every show offers a new way to experience Temple’s vibrant arts and culture scene.
Here’s the remaining lineup:
- June 27 – West Temple Park: Bobby Sanchez Band (Tejano)
- July 11 – Lions Park Amphitheater: Robert Parker Jr.
- July 18 – Lions Park Amphitheater: Beyond Destiny (Soul/R&B Covers)
- July 25 – Santa Fe Plaza: James Hollingsworth (Country)
- August 1 – Santa Fe Plaza: Fleetwood X (Fleetwood Mac Tribute Band)
Each performance brings something a little different to the table—so whether you’re swaying to smooth jazz, singing along to retro hits, or two-stepping under the stars, there’s something for every music lover.
