In the world of conservation, few stories are as heartwarming as those of animals who, against all odds, find a second chance at life. SEA LIFE Grapevine is now home to two such survivors: Brisket and Beans, rescued green sea turtles who are beginning a new chapter at the aquarium’s Sea Turtle Rescue Center.

These remarkable turtles bear the scars of their past—both were victims of severe boat strikes that left them unable to survive in the wild. Despite their injuries, their resilience shone through during rehabilitation at the Amos Rehabilitation Keep (ARK) in Port Aransas. Thanks to dedicated efforts from marine specialists, Brisket and Beans were nursed back to health, paving the way for their arrival at SEA LIFE Grapevine.

Now, these two Texas-sized personalities—named after beloved Lone Star State staples—will serve as ambassadors for sea turtle conservation. Visitors to the Sea Turtle Rescue Center will have the chance to meet them up close, learning about the challenges sea turtles face and the vital role that rescue and rehabilitation programs play in protecting them.
