The grassroots organization Indivisible Centex is gearing up for a vibrant community event, “Picnic for the People,” set to take place on Saturday, May 31, from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Yettie Polk Park (101 S. Davis Street, Belton, Texas).

This family-friendly gathering invites residents to bring a picnic lunch, blankets, chairs, and friends to enjoy live music, engaging conversations, and a strong sense of community. The event is designed to foster connections among neighbors, with activities for all ages and opportunities for positive change.

Local vendors will be on-site to provide resources and answer questions. Organizations such as CASA of Central Texas, AWARE Central Texas, Make a Way Wellness, and Bell County Texas Democratic Women will participate, offering insight into local advocacy efforts.

Music lovers can enjoy performances from Evelyn, Martian Folk, Brother Jon, and the Rainbow Hearts, bringing a mix of uplifting and soulful tunes to the picnic atmosphere.

Indivisible Centex is committed to empowering people at the grassroots level, ensuring that community voices are heard and local initiatives thrive. The organization regularly hosts events, providing ongoing opportunities for civic engagement and activism.

This event is more than just a picnic—it’s a celebration of unity, activism, and community empowerment. For updates on the Picnic for the People and other Indivisible Centex events, visit IndivisibleCentex.org or follow @indivisiblecentex on social media.
