Managing your health care online is about to get even easier. On June 4, 2025, My HealtheVet is transitioning to a new platform on VA.gov, providing a streamlined experience for Veterans looking to access their medical records, appointments, medications, and messages—all in one place.
Beginning June 4, when you log into My HealtheVet, you’ll be directed to the new VA.gov portal, where you’ll find upgraded tools and features designed to improve accessibility and convenience. While most Veterans will use this platform moving forward, those who receive care from VA health facilities using the My VA Health portal will need to continue managing their records there for now.
With the move to VA.gov, My HealtheVet brings exciting new capabilities, including:
✅ Threaded messages with autosave for easier communication
✅ Enhanced medical records access with print and download options
✅ Digital calendar integration for tracking appointments
✅ Travel pay reimbursements and mileage claim submissions
✅ After-visit summaries for reference
✅ Online ordering of medical supplies and equipment
The transition also introduces a mobile-first design, making it easier to manage your health on any device.
Veterans who previously self-entered health information in My HealtheVet will need to use the Share My Health Data app to track vitals and share details with providers. To retrieve historical self-entered data, a report can be accessed in the Medical Records section of VA.gov.
Additionally, the Shared Vitals feature is being replaced with a web version of Share My Health Data, allowing for secure input and sharing of health details.
Veterans relying on the VA Blue Button report should note that My Goals, Wellness Reminders, and VA EKG data will no longer be included after June 4. If you wish to keep historical records, download your Blue Button report before this transition.
To begin using the new My HealtheVet on VA.gov, sign in with a Login.gov or ID.me account. Once inside, Veterans can provide feedback on the new tools to help refine the experience.
