What a year it has been for Killeen ISD athletes! With graduation around the corner, we send our best wishes to all of our seniors—we will miss you!
Let’s kick things off with some great news from the State Track Meet in Austin last Friday and Saturday. Shoemaker High School’s track team made history by finishing as silver medalists in Class 6A at the state level—an incredible achievement for the Grey Wolves!

KISD showed up strong in multiple events:
- Shoemaker High School secured 4th place in the 2×400 relay and 2nd place—by just 0.004 seconds—in the 4×400 relay. Their overall team championship run came down to just four points, proving their dominance in Texas track & field.
- Isaiah Butler Tanner had a fantastic showing, finishing 4th in the Discus Throw.
- Other standout KISD performances included:
- EHS’s Ethan Carranza, who ran strong in the 3200m race.
- KHS’s Antwoine Warren, who competed in the High Jump and Long Jump, just missing the podium for the Kangaroos.
In the first round of the baseball playoffs, Chaparral High School and Harker Heights High School battled hard in their three-game bi-district series but ultimately came up short. We are incredibly proud of all our KISD baseball teams for their effort and dedication this season!

We were live from Killeen Canes for the “From the Sidelines” State Track Celebration, catching up with the Shoemaker relay teams and Isaiah Butler Tanner. It was an amazing event, celebrating the athletes who gave it their all on the biggest stage.

The spring football schedule is in full swing, and tonight, we’ll be live from Killeen High to bring you the latest updates!
