The City of Cedar Park is thrilled to welcome residents back to the revitalized Brushy Creek Splash Pad, opening May 7 at noon. This beloved recreational space has undergone a major transformation, creating an even more inviting destination for families, friends, and neighbors to enjoy. The updates reflect Cedar Park’s commitment to innovative, safe, and engaging outdoor experiences that bring the community together.

Thanks to a $1.1 million investment from the 4B Community Development (Type B Corporation), the splash pad now offers an array of exciting features, improved safety measures, and enhanced comfort for all visitors. With 36 unique water elements from WaterPlay and MKR Group, guests will have more ways to spray, more ways to play, and more opportunities to create lasting memories.

The revamped splash pad utilizes a recirculated water system, ensuring sustainability while providing a refreshing escape from the Central Texas heat. The City has also partnered with PerryWeather to integrate advanced lightning and weather safety technology, allowing families to enjoy their time with confidence. Additionally, Life Floor’s enhanced traction has been incorporated, making the surface safer and more comfortable for all ages.

A major highlight of the new splash pad is the TITAN Speed Racer, the first water feature of its kind in Texas. This 15-foot-tall attraction can entertain up to 30 children at once, featuring an array of play areas and water elements designed for high-energy fun.

“The revitalized Brushy Creek Splash Pad is a testament to Cedar Park’s dedication to fostering joy, connection, and safe recreation for our families and neighbors,” said Mayor Jim Penniman-Morin. “This incredible facility, with its innovative features like the TITAN and advanced safety measures, reflects our commitment to making Cedar Park a vibrant place to live, play, and grow together.”

Beyond the splash pad, Cedar Park Parks & Recreation is dedicated to strengthening community connections through play. The Parks, Recreation, Facilities, and Open Space Master Plan prioritizes creating welcoming spaces with thoughtful amenities—such as shade, seating, and designated relaxation areas—to encourage visitors to fully enjoy their time outdoors.

For those seeking a quieter retreat, the new non-spray area features a seating wall, turf for lounging, and tables for personal belongings, providing a comfortable environment where parents, grandparents, and friends can relax while watching their loved ones play.

“We are extremely proud to provide a revitalized splash pad to the residents of our community,” said Mike DeVito, Cedar Park’s Director of Parks & Recreation. “The enhanced water play features, safety innovations, and inviting aesthetics illustrate our commitment to high-quality, safe, and engaging spaces for families, friends, and neighbors.”
