Army Specialist Kyle Beddow, who was severely injured during his service in Afghanistan, will receive a specially adapted custom home from Homes For Our Troops (HFOT) on May 10, 2025. The donation ceremony will take place at 805 Hill Valley Estates in Stephenville, Texas, starting at 10 a.m., with check-in beginning at 9:30 a.m. The event is open to the public, and attendees will have the opportunity to tour the home following the ceremony.
SPC Beddow lost his left leg in an improvised explosive device (IED) blast while serving with the 1st Battalion, 508th Parachute Infantry Regiment in Afghanistan on May 20, 2012. His new home, equipped with over 40 adaptive features, including widened doorways, a roll-in shower, and wheelchair-accessible kitchen amenities, will provide him with greater mobility and independence.
“Receiving a donated home means living in an environment where I don’t have to constantly battle physical limitations,” Beddow shared. “It allows me to focus on raising my son rather than worrying about mobility challenges.”

HFOT, a nonprofit organization, builds and donates customized homes to severely injured post-9/11 Veterans, helping them rebuild their lives. The donation is made possible through contributions from donors, supporters, and corporate partners.

With more than 73 active projects nationwide, HFOT continues to provide life-changing homes for Veterans. Community members interested in supporting the organization or making a donation can visit www.hfotusa.org. To learn more about SPC Beddow and his journey, visit www.hfotusa.org/Beddow.
