The Peppered Sky follows siblings Haleigh and Mason as they witness a mesmerizing airborne training exercise, inspired by Doran’s own childhood memories of watching her father, a paratrooper, jump. Meanwhile, Sleeping Giants introduces young readers to the world of Army aviation through the eyes of Finn and his helicopter mechanic mother.
Doran’s passion for storytelling was ignited during her college years when she realized the lack of representation for military children in literature.
