As National Volunteer Week approaches, Americans across the country are gearing up for a powerful demonstration of service and gratitude. From April 20–26, 2025, the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) is calling on volunteers, Veteran Service Organizations, community leaders, and VA staff to rally together for VetServe 2025, a synchronized day of service taking place on April 23, 2025.
At its core, VetServe 2025 is more than just an event—it is a movement. Designed to strengthen volunteer capacity nationwide, this initiative aims to bring direct, meaningful assistance to Veterans in all 50 states. Whether it’s restoring memorial sites, organizing resource fairs, or providing home repairs for disabled Veterans, volunteers are stepping up to ensure those who have served our country receive the support and recognition they deserve.
The power of service cannot be overstated. With over 19 million Veterans living in the U.S., VetServe 2025 serves as both a celebration and a call to action—urging Veterans, their families, caregivers, and communities to get involved in making a difference. This effort underscores a collective responsibility: coming together to honor those who have sacrificed for the nation.
VA encourages organizations to participate by submitting volunteer opportunities through the Volunteer Directory. Groups can also share success stories and connect with other volunteers via RallyPoint and Together We Served, ensuring that VetServe 2025’s impact continues beyond a single day.
This National Day of Service isn’t just about helping—it’s about unity, gratitude, and transformation. Join VetServe 2025 and be part of a nationwide effort to serve those who served us.
