
CTC Guest Artist Concert Features Trio
Killeen, TX – The Central Texas College (CTC) Fine Arts Department is set to host a captivating guest artist concert featuring three distinguished musicians: Liam Osburn on the French horn, Nathaniel Matthews on the saxophone, and Donna Kennedy as the collaborative pianist. The concert will take place on Tuesday, April 8, at 7:30 p.m. at the Anderson Campus Center.
“This is an invitation to hear the beautiful music composed by Johannes Brahms, Maurice Ravel, and Jane Vignery,” says Celinda Hallbauer, Chair and Music Program Coordinator at CTC.

Liam Osburn is a dedicated horn player currently serving in the U.S. Army Band. His illustrious music career has taken him across the country and Europe, performing with renowned ensembles such as the Pittsburgh Symphony Orchestra, the Harrisburg Symphony, the Northeastern Pennsylvania Philharmonic, and the New York Ballet Company. Osburn has also conducted and played in various Broadway musicals and tours, including Sweeney Todd, Into the Woods, Mean Girls, Shrek the Musical, Big Fish, Sister Act, Company, Spamalot, and Something Rotten.

Nathaniel Matthews hails from Ellijay, Georgia, and moved to Killeen with his wife, Shannon Matthews, as a member of the 1st Cavalry Division Army Band. He holds a bachelor’s degree in music education from the University of Tennessee Martin and a master’s in music performance from the University of South Carolina. Matthews was a featured soloist as the University of Tennessee Martin Concerto Competition Winner in 2020 and winner of the South Carolina Music Teachers National Association in 2023.

Donna Kennedy holds a Master of Music Education from Tarleton State University and a Bachelor of Arts in Religion and Music from the University of Mary Hardin-Baylor. She serves as adjunct music faculty and collaborative pianist at Central Texas College, Killeen, and is the worship leader at Lifeway Fellowship Church in Killeen. Kennedy is also working on a songwriter album, Until Sunset, with a tentative release date in Spring 2025.
Tickets for the concert are priced at $5 cash at the door, with children 12 and under admitted free. All proceeds will go to the CTC Concert Series Scholarship Fund, supporting the next generation of musicians.
