Georgetown Prepares for Two Step Inn Music Festival at San Gabriel Park

Music lovers across Texas are gearing up for the Two Step Inn festival, set to bring lively performances to San Gabriel Park on April 5-6. As excitement builds, the City of Georgetown is making preparations to ensure a smooth and safe experience for attendees.

To accommodate festival operations, several streets and lanes surrounding San Gabriel Park will be temporarily closed. Festival staging, including the setup of safety fencing, begins on March 25 and will continue through April 11. The City has provided an interactive map outlining the phased closures to help residents and visitors plan accordingly.

In a new development for 2025, these road closures have been incorporated into Google Maps and Waze, allowing drivers to access real-time traffic updates and navigate festival-related detours with ease.

In preparation for the event, several nearby facilities will close temporarily:

  • Georgetown Recreation Center (1003 N. Austin Ave.) will be closed from 5 p.m. on April 4 through 5:30 a.m. on April 7. There will be no event parking at the Recreation Center.
  • Georgetown Animal Shelter, McMaster Athletic Complex, and Transfer Station will be closed Saturday and Sunday due to street closures.

Attendees traveling by foot should be aware of construction on the Austin Avenue bridges south of San Gabriel Park, which will prevent pedestrian access from downtown via Austin Avenue. Instead, pedestrians should use College Street to reach the festival grounds. The City’s map also highlights designated pedestrian crossing points along Austin Avenue.

As the festival approaches, Georgetown officials encourage residents and visitors to stay informed about travel and venue updates. Additional details can be found on the City’s website.

Whether you’re a country music fan, a festival enthusiast, or simply looking for a weekend of entertainment, Two Step Inn promises to bring energy, excitement, and unforgettable performances to Georgetown.
