City of Temple Seeks Public Input for I-35 Corridor Plan

TEMPLE, TX (March 19, 2025) – The City of Temple is inviting residents to participate in the development of the I-35 Corridor Plan by providing feedback through an online survey. The survey, which is now available, will remain open until Friday, April 18. It aims to gather opinions on the beautification, connectivity, perception, and safety of Interstate 35.

The Interstate 35 Corridor is a vital part of Temple, shaping the city’s image for both visitors and residents. Recognizing the significance of this area, the city is crafting a comprehensive plan to improve its visual appeal, connectivity, and commercial opportunities. The I-35 Corridor Plan will address key aspects such as land use, pedestrian accessibility, intersection enhancements, environmental character, and redevelopment strategies.

The I-35 Corridor Plan is a collaborative effort involving the public, city staff, the Corridor Advisory Committee, the Planning and Zoning Commission, and the City Council. The planning process consists of six phases: analysis, public input, visioning, advisory committee review, recommendations, and adoption. Public input is Phase Two of the planning process, and the feedback received will be used to define the vision of what the corridor should be.

Residents are encouraged to share their perspectives during this crucial phase. For more information about the I-35 Corridor Plan and to access the online survey, please visit plan35temple.com.
