Road Closure Announced for South Pea Ridge Road Improvements

TEMPLE – As the city progresses with Phase 5 of the South Pea Ridge Road Improvements project, significant traffic adjustments are set to begin.

Starting Friday, March 7, construction crews will close the northbound lane of South Pea Ridge Road from Hogan Road to Purvis Street, and the eastbound lane of Hogan Road from South Pea Ridge to Rolling Brook Drive. This closure is expected to last approximately 5 months.

The South Pea Ridge Road Improvements project aims to enhance the infrastructure and safety of the area. The project includes widening the road, adding asphalt paving, curb and gutter installations, and improving storm drainage systems. Additionally, sidewalks will be constructed to provide safer pedestrian access.

To mitigate traffic disruptions, several detours will be available, including routes via Old Waco Road and Tarver Drive. Drivers are advised to use caution in the area and pay close attention to all signage and traffic control devices to ensure safety.
