SEE HER BE HER

Grassroots Baseball, in partnership with Dolby Laboratories and AMC Theatres, announced the launch of the SEE HER BE HER Tour across the United States. This 12-city tour will align with the Major League Baseball season, beginning in February and concluding in the fall with the crowning of a World Series champion.

Each stop on the tour will feature a screening of the new documentary “SEE HER BE HER,” followed by a Q&A session with a panel of women baseball experts and a book signing for Grassroots Baseball’s companion book, “See Her Be Her.” Proceeds from ticket and book sales will support Little League International’s “Girls with Game” program, which aims to increase opportunities for girls in baseball. Students aged eight and older will be admitted free of charge.

The tour will kick off with a special screening at Dolby Laboratories’ Headquarters in San Francisco on February 22 at 2:00 pm PT. It will then move to select Dolby Cinema at AMC locations in Phoenix during Spring Training in March and continue to cities including Austin, Boston, Chicago, Denver, Miami, Minneapolis, New York City, Philadelphia, Seattle, and Washington, DC. More details and the complete tour schedule can be found at http://www.seeherbeher.com.

“SEE HER BE HER” is a feature-length film about women’s baseball around the world. It follows seven top players from the United States, Canada, Puerto Rico, Japan, South Korea, Cuba, and Uganda as they compete for the World Cup Championship. The documentary showcases their drive for victory, the challenges they face, and their passion for the game, all while paving the way for future generations of female baseball players.

“We created SEE HER BE HER to provide visibility and create more opportunities for girls and women to play baseball,” said Jean Fruth, co-founder of Grassroots Baseball and the film’s director and producer. “We are grateful to Dolby and AMC Theatres for helping us increase exposure for women’s baseball and support the ‘Girls with Game’ program.”

“Our mission is to champion impactful narratives and empower creatives to share their stories,” said Joan Scott, Senior Director of Social Impact & Sustainability at Dolby Laboratories. “We are excited to collaborate with Grassroots Baseball to kick off the SEE HER BE HER tour and raise awareness of their mission.” Ryan Noonan, Vice President of Corporate Communications & Public Relations at AMC, added, “We are proud to partner with Dolby and Grassroots Baseball to bring SEE HER BE HER to audiences across the country. By showcasing these incredible women in the cinematic experience of Dolby Cinema at AMC, we hope to inspire the next generation of female athletes and fans.”
