The Temple Public Library announced their upcoming ribbon-cutting ceremony for a new, state-of-the-art bookmobile, the Exploration Station.

The community is invited to join the festivities celebrating the launch of this innovative mobile library, which aims to bring books, media, and engaging activities directly to various locations within the community. Attendees will have the chance to tour the bookmobile, enjoy light refreshments, and participate in family-friendly activities.

“The Exploration Station represents a major step forward in our mission to make library resources accessible to everyone in Temple,” stated Natalie Alvara, Director of the Temple Public Library. “This bookmobile will allow us to bring books, media, and activities to neighborhoods, schools, and community events, creating opportunities for learning and connection wherever they are needed most. We are proud to see this vision come to life and are deeply grateful for the community’s support.”

The launch of the Exploration Station was made possible by a generous donation of $83,000 from the Friends of the Temple Public Library. This contribution underscores the Friends’ and the community’s commitment to enhancing literacy and lifelong learning for residents of all ages.
