Christmas Parade in Downtown Killeen

This evening, Historic Downtown Killeen will host the annual City of Killeen Parks & Recreation Christmas Parade. The event begins at 6 p.m. and will feature this year’s theme, “A Cinematic Christmas.”

Floats, marching bands, and community groups are expected to take part, with decorations inspired by classic holiday films. Information about the event is available through the City of Killeen Parks & Recreation website at killeentexas.gov/rec.

Belton Senior Activity Center Holiday Schedule

The Belton Senior Activity Center will host its Christmas Dance on Thursday, December 18 at 6:30 p.m. In addition, a holiday potluck is planned for Monday, December 15 at 5:30 p.m., featuring entertainment by magician Jeff Hapke.

The center also notes that it will be closed for the holidays from December 22 through January 5.

Vaccination Event Scheduled at Fort Hood Main Exchange

The Carl R. Darnall Army Medical Center’s Army Public Health Nursing team is hosting a flu and COVID-19 vaccination event for TRICARE-eligible beneficiaries today from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Fort Hood Main Exchange, also known as the Clear Creek Exchange.

Flu vaccines will be available for beneficiaries ages 3 and older, while COVID-19 vaccines will be offered to those 12 and older.

The Fort Hood Main Exchange is located at 1048 Clear Creek Road, Fort Hood, Texas. Beneficiaries planning to attend should bring a valid Department of Defense ID card.

Bush Gallery Renovation at the National Museum of the Pacific War

The Bush Gallery at the National Museum of the Pacific War has recently completed a major renovation. The project expands the museum’s storytelling with new immersive environments, interactive exhibits, and hundreds of newly displayed artifacts. Visitors will also encounter virtual characters, enhanced experiences, and a new relevance gallery.
